Meet Your Pilot
David Stagg is the founder and chief pilot of Bucket-List Balloon Flights.
With many years of experience in ballooning, David holds private and commercial pilot licences and the UK’s highest ballooning qualifications. His passion extends beyond flying to building, maintaining and caring for balloons.
His goal is simple: to share the magic of ballooning while providing a safe, personal and memorable experience.
When Is Ballooning Season?
Flights operate mainly during the warmer months, when conditions are most suitable for ballooning.
Flights take place around sunrise and sunset, when the air is generally calmer and the light creates spectacular views across the countryside.
Because ballooning is weather-dependent, your flight is always subject to suitable conditions.
Explore Norfolk & Suffolk From Above
Our flights take place from carefully selected launch sites across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Your exact launch location depends on the weather and wind direction on the day. Wherever you fly, you’ll enjoy a unique view of the countryside, villages and landscapes below.
What to Expect
Your balloon adventure begins before you even leave the ground.
You’ll receive confirmation before your flight, meet your pilot and crew, and prepare for take-off. Once airborne, you’ll gently drift with the wind while taking in panoramic views of the countryside.
Flights typically last around one hour, with the complete experience taking approximately 3–4 hours including preparation and recovery.
At the end of the flight, you’ll enjoy a traditional ballooning celebration before returning from the launch site.
